Farm Girl Blocks, Posting #3

Here are a few more completed Farm Girl Vintage blocks:

Kettle’s On!, Kitchen Window, Haystack, and Old Glory

Old Red Barn, Milking Day, Mama Hen, and Out to Pasture

Pinwheels, Pie Cherries, Peas and Carrots, and Fresh Pears

This is how I lay out each block. Some of the block pieces are so close in size I find it much easier to label each piece and sew one block at a time.

These blocks are so much fun. Lori Holt’s instructions and diagrams are easy to follow and I have only used my seam ripper once so far. 🙂

I am a retired grandmother living in hot and sunny Florida. I spend most of my days doing what I love: sewing and quilting. I have a spoiled rotten Boston Terrier named Sami who keeps me busy mostly by cleaning up after her and refilling holes in the yard that she insists on digging and burying her toys. Of course then she digs them up and brings them into the house resulting guessed it...more cleaning. I will be posting pictures of Sami, quilts, flowers, and other things as they come along. Glad to have you join me.

    1. My problem exactly. I got a little too secure in my piecing abilities and that happened to me. Lori even has pictures for us to follow so I have no excuse. 🙂 I know yours are great and can’t wait to see them.
