I guess I am in my ‘star phase’ with quilts. Seems like I put stars somewhere on most of the ones I make. I hope I will look back with fondness when I jump to another design. I remember the log cabin era and the jelly roll season with good thoughts.
This is a free pattern from Moda Bake Shop called Charming Stars by Stefanie Roman. Stefanie is with Little Lady Patchwork at http://littleladypatchwork.blogspot.com
I still need to add borders and quilt. Then it will be ready for the full size bed in my guest room. Sami, The Wonder Dog, has approved this post. 🙂
It’s lovely! I really like your choice of white for the central star. Very fresh!

Thank you. It was a big decision whether to use white or yellow for the stars. White won. 🙂 I may need to make another with yellow just to keep peace in my head.

Probably sensible. Goodness knows what might happen to the universe if you don’t, right?!

Thank you. It is always a good day when you can make a quilt entirely from your stash. 🙂

I am currently into nine-patches, regular and disappearing — but I have seen some great star quilts this year and I think that will be my next phase. I can’t wait to finish what I am working on and get into those! This one of yours is so cute, I love the scrappiness.

Thank you so much for your kind words. This quilt calms my need to use up 5″ charms and add stars. Looking forward to seeing your star creations.

I love stars. Why not put them on everything? Love the white in with the bold colours.
