Moda Blockheads week 5 is called Coronation by Lisa Bongean. Although I am not very happy with my color choices, the block was fun and a learning experience.
Here are the first five blocks. I think I will re-do block #5 with colors that have better contrast.

If you are going to stick with the autumn colors, you might consider re-doing the block, although the yellow and blue are striking (and believe you me I have done exactly what you have done with the colors on projects) but they clash with the beautiful browns and golds. I am downloading the project for working on at a later day. Your blocks are lovely. I hate it when I select fabrics and they do not please me when I am through with all that work!!!
I am sure you will find some other colors (or if you redo the block and put the blue on the outside) it will be pretty. I wonder if this project will use sashings? That would break up the colors.
Your points are just perfect on your blocks! Excellent work.

Thank you so much for your comments. They hit the nail on the head. I did another block and I think it will play with the other blocks better than the first one. I really appreciated your input. Thanks again.

So, I am not a quilter, and am having tech issues. I can only see a small image of your blocks ( all yellow and white) in the Reader and my internet is refusing to let me ‘visit’ your site properly right now. I think it might be just generally exhausted! But, when I saw the small image I thought of summer days. I only knew it was intended to be autumn from the previous comment. What I can see looks lovely and summery!

Thanks for the kind words and for checking out my blocks.
You are exactly right. The first block I did was in the gold/beige/blue colors and it did not fit in with my autumn plan. I made another block and posted the new version today. It is in rust/brown/tan colors.
