It’s Wednesday again and time for another Moda Blockheads Block of the Week. We are already on block #16 of 48. Jan Patek is the designer of Flags for this week. It is another applique block and I was lucky to have the red/white stripe and the blue with white stars fabrics in my stash so I did not need to piece the tiny stripes.

Cute! Appliqué is one of my favorite things to do. I hope you stop by my blog. I just started a few weeks ago.

That was smart to use already prepared fabric for the flags!

I’m really not good at applique so I take the easy way out. Sometimes having more fabric stash than a quilt store has advantages. 🙂

Hi Peggy! What a cute block. I didn’t realize you were a new blogger – so am I. Just started in February. ~smile~ Roseanne

Thanks Roseanne. I posted my first blog in December knowing absolutely nothing about blogging other than I knew I enjoyed reading other peoples. I am struggling along and learning as I go. I have to say, your blog is very enjoyable and I look forward to reading your posts.

Hi Peggy! That is sweet of you to say. I am DEFINITELY still learning – but it should be a process, just like quilting. Hopefully in the improving direction . . . but that’s what rippers are for when we make mistakes. ~smile~ I’ll be glad to help you all I can! Roseanne

Thanks. I feel like I cheated as I did not ‘piece’ the flag stripes. 🙂
