I did it! After 1 1/2 years of looking at the JOY Christmas wall hanging I finally finished. This is a lovely Jennifer Jangles pattern and my plans were to make several of them for gifts. They are very simple to put together but for some reason it always got pushed back in the WIP stack. I listed it as my June OMG at Elm Street Quilts and that is what it took for me to finish.
I was so happy getting JOY completed I pieced a baby quilt I call Sweet Dreams. The charm pack (Lily & Loom – Strawberry Fizz) was surprise in my order from Craftsy and I immediately saw a baby quilt in the lovely colors.
If you are like me and need a little motivation to finish (or start) some of your projects check out Elm Creek Quilts OMG
I love the christmas wall hanging! Its really nice looking!

Two lovely projects. So you are the one quilter in the history of quilting that actually finished a Christmas quilt before December?!?! I knew there was one of us somewhere 😉

Well done, and a new project pieced to boot! You are on a roll! What will be the goal for July? Have you decided yet?

Thanks Kathy. I think it will be to piece a red/white/blue quilt that has LOTS of 2″ squares. How about you?

I am going to finish quilting my 3rd Splendid Sampler lap quilt, then I have my choice of the final one, a kit I got for Christmas, or to set up a bed size quilt to be quilted.

Hi Peggy,
That is just great that you finished Joy and pieced a new baby quilt. I love both of them, and am especially partial to sashing and cornerstones. I know someone will absolutely love it. ~smile~ Roseanne

Thanks Roseanne. I am making baby quilts in anticipation of a bunch of great-grandbabies. So far the grands are not cooperating. 🙂

Well . . . there is always time, and someone may need a baby quilt before the grands do! ~smile~ Roseanne
