Ho Ho Ho Wall Hanging

This wall hanging is based on a pattern called Jolly Greeting Wall Hanging designed by Sandy at  Up Stairs Hobby Room. It ended up being 17″ x 52″ after quilting.  The pattern called for half square triangles (HST) borders all around but I replaced those with 2 1/2″ white snowflake fabric strips and I replaced the center of the star with a fussy cut Santa face. The binding is red and white stripe fabric.

It was a very easy project and could be pieced in an afternoon. I think I will add the HST borders on the next one. They will add more color and frame the piece better.

I am a retired grandmother living in hot and sunny Florida. I spend most of my days doing what I love: sewing and quilting. I have a spoiled rotten Boston Terrier named Sami who keeps me busy mostly by cleaning up after her and refilling holes in the yard that she insists on digging and burying her toys. Of course then she digs them up and brings them into the house resulting in...you guessed it...more cleaning. I will be posting pictures of Sami, quilts, flowers, and other things as they come along. Glad to have you join me.

      1. Peggy, that is a wonderful way to think of it. I love the holidays – probably because we host a big party on the 24th and then go visiting on the 25th and after. I put my decorations out on Thanksgiving night and take them down on the 26th. ~smile~ Roseanne

    1. Hi Dawn. I purchased it from Up Stairs Hobby Room. It is also on her Pinterest page under the same name. It is called Jolly Greeting wall hanging and it is very easy. I hang it on my door for the holidays.
