Well, here it is, after the New Years and not only have I not started sewing, I have not made the decision on which color. I have narrowed it down between the two blues. I am saving the 1.5″ Kona Dusty strips for a log cabin and I have cut the white strips and squares. I purchased the yardage fabric at Artist’s Club, the Bella Solids Jelly Roll from Missouri Star, and the Kona Mini strips from Tuesday Morning.
This is going to be a fun quilt along brought to us by Roseanne from Home Sewn by Us. Roseanne pointed me to the free pattern at BlockM Quilts to download. It looks like it will be an easy pattern with a striking design. This is not a race and we go at our own pace.
Due to my health issues I have been unable to be any use to Roseanne in the roll of co-host. (sorry Roseanne). But I will be back in my sewing room soon and my machine will be humming as fast as ever.
Happy New Year everyone.
Oh I hope you are OK!!! OK – you and Gretchen have me printing out the pattern! I have some jelly rolls that I can probably use – either batiks or I have enough fabric to make one with any color!

It looks like an easy quilt and would take a different look depending on the fabrics. If they can get my meds regulated I will be better. Seems what works for some doesn’t work for others. I’ve never been one to get sick and when I have it has been an easy fix. This has been an experience for me that I have not enjoyed. Thank you.

Hi Peggy!!
I am thrilled to see a post from you today! You are not slacking as a co-host. There is nothing to do really, since there is no deadline, no pressure. So sit back and feel better, my friend. That is the most important thing! Hmm, so blue it is! I love the color range on the top fabrics, but of course the jelly roll is also perfect and precut for you. I’m so glad you are feeling a bit better. ~smile~ Roseanne

Thanks Roseanne. I tried to get a little sewing in today but it just wasn’t to be. Maybe tomorrow. I miss my sewing room. 😦 Stay warm.

Aww, {{hugs}}. Don’t push it! It’s no fun when it’s work. We were double digits today – a regular heatwave. ~smile~ Roseanne

It is cold here and I am usually hot…what a time for my hormones to actually start working! 🙂 Sami usually takes her sweet time to pee, now she is breaking records.

I love those fabrics. It’s going to be a touch choice on those blues though!

Thanks Kate. I know! I am the worse at making color decisions. That is why I end up making rainbow quilts. 🙂

The blues will make a wonderful Regatta quilt! I’m so sorry you are struggling. I hope you are able to overcome these difficult times. 🙂

Thank you Cindy. We are working on it and trying to get the meds corrected. I think the blues will be striking. The color choices are not my strong point but a lady told my one time, “If I put them together, they have no choice but to go together.” LOL

I have a friend that has RA and I’ve seen her struggle with her illness. My heart goes out to you. 🙂 I love the quote. Well said. Cindy
