Quilt #1:
This pattern is based on the Big Star pattern from Missouri Star Quilt and I call it Big Purple Stars. I am so creative with names. 🙂 I pieced it in 2014 and placed it on my long arm to be quilted. I started have major problems with my machine and ended up sending it to California for warranty repairs. After the bad experience I decided to blame the quilt so I hid it in the closet. 🙂 Finally got my nerve back up and completed the quilting with no problems. Now I am glad get it finished but I am in the process of changing my bedroom colors. That is what I get for taking so long.
Quilt #2:
I am calling this quilt Charming Stars and it is a free pattern from Moda Bake Shop. You may remember seeing this quilt listed on Elm Street Quilts as my April One Monthly Goal to get the blocks set and borders attached. I am happy to say it is now quilted and ready to go to a new home.
Moda Blockheads update:
I did not complete the Blockheads Block of the Week #11. This block has 60 pieces and is a beautiful pattern, but after re-doing twice I decided it was not for me. I really admire the people who can work with those tiny pieces and make them beautiful but I am not one of them. Since the Blockheads will have 48 quilt blocks I think I will be able to survive without a few. I feel like a wimp but after working on this block for over 5 hours I finally admitted it was not fun.
Beautiful quilts! Love them both!

I love stars!! and those Big Purple ones are just beautiful, too bad they don’t work with your decor anymore. Charming Stars turned out great too – it’s going to make someone very happy 🙂

Thank you Sharon. I am slowly leaving my purple period but I enjoyed it for many years.

Thank you Tierney. If I didn’t have so many ongoing projects I could finish more. 🙂
